Having the pleasure of working with the team at HYDRA again was an amazing experience. Using a realistic future as our aim and beginning concept we came up with some granular, science fiction inspired speedometers.
You can see a little more of my colour explorations here. I was leaning towards a more muted palette and trying to steer away from the hard neon colours and shades so previlant in future user interface design.
My main tool of creation here was Cavalry, all of the artwork is 100% vector, completely scalable and 100% procedural. When I'm making explorations like these I tend to try and steer clear of using key framing too much, as I find it slows down the iteration process and can encumber my pipeline.
The compositing was finalised in After Effects, using a series of 2.5D cameras and effects (glows and blurs) I was able to achieve the desired final look.
